Category: Where are they now?
Where are they now?All churches are accustomed to changes in their congregations: there are those who are the bedrock of the church, having worshipped there for many years; but others come for a time and then move on, following their hearts, following their employment, following their calling. Here at St. Bridget and St. Thomas’, we have experienced all these changes; we always say ‘goodbye’ with some sadness, but usually also with joy for our family as they move on in their journey. It is always especially exciting when dear friends move on to respond to a call to work for the Lord. In recent years, we have been delighted to see so many of our congregation respond in this way. They remain in our hearts but have new tasks elsewhere. We would like to bring you some of their stories: what brought them to church – particularly our church – and what called them to move on; where they are now and what they’re doing. Perhaps some of these people are now with YOU in your home parishes? Whatever the facts, we hope you will enjoy reading about some of our lovely family…
